As I write this letter there is still snow on the hill behind the house at Fisher Creek and the days are bright but cool. Spring is slow in coming to the Sawtooth Valley with little bits of green starting to push their way up from the frozen ground.

Our winter in Arizona was every changing and much better than last. Weather wise it was wet with record rains. We had our best year ever, so we were thrilled about that. Deb moved her office to the corrals and spent her days helping guests get dressed up in our boots, hats and chaps for fun filled rides into the desert. We also had many Girl Scouts and had fun working with them and teaching them about horses and the fun they can have. I love these groups as they feed my teacher sole.

Temperatures were mild this spring so we made it all spring without it hitting 100 degrees.

Jeff of course continues to work in all aspects of the operation and keeps things rolling smoothly with his ever patient and consistent attitude.

Health wise we are both doing fine. No new brain tumors or seizures for me. Jeff is also doing great. Small bumps in the road. We are thankful for each day.

Katy is completing her first year as a 5th grade teacher with 32 kids in her classroom. She rules with an iron hand and the kids love her. We are very proud of her and all that she has accomplished. She will be helping us this summer a couple of days a week and having fun in Stanley.

Dusty is busy building in Idaho and keeping busy with many projects both construction and private entreprenur projects.

We are trying to get more involved in the “social media world”. I attended a conference and the take home quote was “if you don’t like change you will like irrelevance even less”. I remember kicking and screaming about having to have a webpage…. Here we go

This year marks our 41st year in operation! We are proud to be able to continue offering the exceptional service and experience that keeps guests returning each year! Our customers are some of the best in the business! Thanks to all of you!

OPENING DATES
Redfish Lake Corrals – May 28th, 2010
Galena Stage Stop Corrals – June 18 2010

Our One Hour Loop Ride at our Redfish Lake and Galena locations proved to be successful last year so we will be continuing them for the 2010 season. This ride is perfect for those who are short on time or groups that just want to get a taste of what trail riding in the Sawtooth’s or at Galena in the mining area is about!

Our best,

Jeff & Deb and the Crew
